Sea & land · cooked at the villa

The table

Food is the centre of a stay at Akra Vista. A private chef on request, a larder pulled from the sea and the hills around us, and the kind of long Greek table where the afternoon quietly disappears. Everything here can be arranged for your stay.

A private chef, on request

·

Seasonal Greek & Mediterranean menus

Menus built around the morning's catch and whatever is ripe — from relaxed breakfasts to long, slow lunches and dinner under the stars. Tell us how you like to eat and the chef plans around it.

·

Cooked where you are

In the villa's outdoor kitchen, by the infinity pool, or on the rooftop as the sun goes down. The kitchen comes to you, not the other way around.

·

For a celebration, a retreat, or just the easy days

from €320 / day

Full board for a retreat group, a single show-stopping dinner, or simply the evenings you'd rather not cook. Indicative from €320 per day; we tailor it to your party.

From the land & sea around us

·

Halkidiki green olives & olive oil

Protected Designation of Origin

The region's big, meaty green olives — and the 'liquid gold' oil pressed from them — are PDO products you can only call Halkidiki. Often stuffed with almond or red pepper, and poured over everything.

·

Seafood from the gulf

landed at dawn

Fish brought in before dawn and straight to the table: sea bream, sea bass, calamari and octopus — plus the famed local mussels, served saganaki in tomato, garlic and feta.

·

Sithonia wine

Slopes of Meliton, PDO

The vineyards on Mount Meliton above us make PDO wines (Plagies Melitona). Estates like Domaine Porto Carras pour crisp Assyrtiko whites and bold, peppery reds, kept fresh by the sea breeze.

·

Honey from Nikiti

Greece's beekeeping heart

Halkidiki produces more than a third of Greece's honey, and Nikiti — minutes from the villa — is one of its capitals. The pine and wildflower honey here is exceptional, especially over local yogurt.

·

Cheese, herbs & the garden

from the hills

Feta and graviera from the mountain dairies, wild herbs and mountain tea, figs, tomatoes and greens in season — the simple, fresh backbone of every Halkidiki table.

·

A monastic, Anatolian thread

the local style

The cooking here carries two influences: the plain, ingredient-led style of nearby Mount Athos, and the spice and richness the Constantinople Greeks brought when they settled the region.

Experiences at the table

·

A Greek cooking class

at the villa

Cook a Halkidiki menu alongside the chef — then sit down and eat what you made, with a glass of Sithonia white in hand.

·

Olive oil & wine tasting

villa or winery

Taste the region's PDO oil and Sithonia wines at the villa, or visit a working mill or estate — many local producers now open their doors to guests.

·

Boat to grill

with the Nimbus

Bring back the day's catch from a Nimbus cruise and have it grilled that evening — about as direct as sea-to-table gets.

·

Market & producer visits

around Sithonia

Honey in Nikiti, olives in the groves, the morning fish at the harbour — we'll point you to the real producers, or arrange a guided run.

Make it your basecamp
