Diaporos Island
The largest of the nine islets scattered off Vourvourou. Circle it slowly and you find a lacework of hidden coves where pine green meets impossibly clear water.
The Blue Lagoon
A pool-clear channel between Diaporos and little Agios Isidoros island, reachable only by sea. Some of the best snorkelling visibility in the region — drop anchor and swim.
Myrsini / 'Hawaii' Beach
Diaporos's jewel — a soft white strand you can dock against, swim, and have largely to yourself outside peak weekends.
Kryfto Bay & Lagonisi
Secluded inlets prized for their stillness. Lagonisi is the one island you can reach on foot, crossing a thin strip of sand.
Ammouliani Island
The only inhabited island in the gulf — a relaxed fishing village, tavernas and the long Alykes beach. A proper day-trip with a local feel.
Drenia (Gaidouronisia) islets
A cluster of low sandbars with Caribbean-bright shallows — the classic barbecue-cruise swim stop.
Mount Athos cruise
Sail the monastic coast of the Holy Mountain (a UNESCO site), taking in the great monasteries from the sea. Note: by long tradition, women view Athos only from the boat.
Porto Koufo
One of the Mediterranean's most sheltered natural harbours, ringed by cliffs — a dramatic anchorage and lunch stop at the peninsula's end.
Rent your own, or be skippered
Small 30hp boats need no licence and rent from around €120/day in Vourvourou; for a relaxed day, take a skippered cruise from Ormos Panagias — or the villa's own Nimbus T11.
Make it your basecamp
