On the water
Island-hopping by boat
The signature day out: Diaporos, the Blue Lagoon and hidden coves by your own small boat or a skippered cruise. (See our islands guide.)
Snorkelling
Visibility here regularly tops 20 metres, so even a mask and fins are rewarding. The rocky-cove beaches are the best entry points.
Scuba diving
Try-dives for beginners and guided dives for the certified — including the seabed and ancient-city ruins off Toroni.
Sea kayaking & SUP
Paddle the calm bay and its islets at your own pace; kayaks and paddleboards are easy to hire, and guided trips run too.
Fishing
Half- and full-day trips for bottom-fishing and trolling in the gulf — or take a private day on the villa's Nimbus T11 and bring the catch back for dinner.
Jet ski & watersports
The bigger organised beaches on the west coast run jet skis, ringos and the usual towables for a faster afternoon.
In the hills & inland
Mount Itamos
Sithonia's 811m peak crowns a pine-forested Natura 2000 reserve. Forest trails climb to panoramas over the whole peninsula and across to Mount Athos.
Parthenonas village
A restored 19th-century stone village on Itamos's slopes — cobbled lanes, artisan shops and a taverna terrace with one of the best views in Halkidiki.
Coastal & forest hikes
Classic routes include the Nikiti–Agios Nikolaos loop, the Sarti–Porto Koufo coast path, and Elia beach to the Agios Pavlos spring. Many trails are unmarked — ask us for the good ones.
Jeep safari & cycling
Reach the remotest mountain villages and viewpoints by 4x4, or take to the quiet inland roads on two wheels.
Ancient sites
Pair a swim with history — the ancient city of Toroni on the coast, and the grid-planned ruins of Olynthos a little further north.
